Since 1998, GGB has been a competent and valued partner in the field of child and youth welfare and operates 19 foreign language day care centers. All of these bilingual facilities are located in the districts of Zwickau, Erzgebirgskreis, Mittelsachsen and Leipziger Land.
Our after-school care center at the Lindenschule is located on the top floor of the Lindengrundschule in Meerane, Oststraße 51. The building was extensively renovated in 2018. The concept is based on our many years of experience in the after-school care area and in the intensive cooperation with the International Primary School Glauchau, as well as the Linden Primary School Meerane. Discovering values with children, working out rules and structures and learning foreign languages through play are of immense importance to us. The after-school care center is a socio-pedagogical institution. The basis for the organization of the care, education and upbringing mission is the Eighth Social Code - the Child and Youth Welfare Act.
The outdoor area includes a spacious area around the house with a nest swing, climbing frame, sandboxes and an activity building site. A construction trailer, which was designed by our after-school children, invites you to read, play or paint. A trampoline, a balance beam and a climbing course complete the offer. We also have a sports field and basketball court at our disposal. In case of bad weather, we can use the gymnasium for various games. The adjacent park and forest areas in the surrounding area are also well suited for adventure games and nature experiences. We go out into nature to experience and explore it with a handcart and food.
The available space on the 3rd floor provides room for 150 after-school children. The room design in our after-school care center is age-appropriate and encourages both active and quiet play and activity. After the renovation, the rooms were decorated in different colors and are in a very good condition. Our newly remodeled rooms are equipped with new furniture. These are suitable for children, functional and movable. The colorful decor and beautiful carpets complete the picture. We attach great importance to separate areas in the rooms. They ensure undisturbed play of children. The versatile stimulating material is arranged in a manageable way and has a challenging character. When selecting materials, we make sure that they appeal to the senses. In addition to materials that are always available, there are changing offers.
